Masjid Al-Iman, in partnership with Here In Canada, is organizing a live panel discussion on COVID-19 on Sunday, March 21st.
Topics include information on how the COVID-19 vaccine works, debunking myths and misconceptions around it, and insights from Muslim leaders in the medical community.
- Asma Shifa, Registered Nurse
She will share her experiences of COVID-19 positive patients and enlighten them about its effects. She will also talk about common vaccine myths and misconceptions.
- Faeza Haj Ibrahim, Pharmacist
She will share information about COVID-19 vaccines, how it works, efficacy, and possible side effects.
- Dr. Srinivas Murthy, Clinical Associate Professor
He will share with us information about what viruses are and what makes Covid-19 particularly contagious and dangerous. He will also share some ways on how to be prepared for this pandemic.
- Imam Ismail Nur, Imam of Masjid Al-Iman
He will share with us the Islamic perspective on seeking treatment for a disease and the social responsibility of Muslims to prevent the spread of disease. Also, he will share the immense contributions of Muslims in the field of medicine and scientific research.
